On Wednesday evening we visited Rolf and Silvia, ship wrights from Switzerland. They have been wintering in Prince Rupert before continuing their cruising in BC and Alaska. Over the years they have been frequent visitors to Prince Rupert, having sailed the Pacific Oceans to New Zealand twice. They have been traveling to different parts of the world for 19 years and plan to continue.
They have shared their many years journey to different part of the world by working their trade in Switzerland to finance their journey.
The book they recommended. World Cruising Routes by Jimmy Cornell. Maybe we will get the English tradition:-)
Rolf built his 40ft ocean going boat. It is a cutter rigged ketch very strong and rigged to handle any weather.
